Are you a qualified swim instructor? Would you like to volunteer for a great cause and combine it with a short holiday to Vietnam? Mission Travel invite you to a swim mission in Vietnam to spend time assisting local swim instructors who are teaching vulnerable children how to swim.
Drowning is one of the leading causes of mortality among children over the age of one in Vietnam. Reasons for the increasing number of child deaths from drowning include unsafe environments, limited awareness, inadequate adult supervision and a lack of swimming skills. It is widely reported that the death toll from drowning is higher than the road toll.
In partnership with Austswim and Swim Vietnam, this trip will provide vulnerable children with basic swimming and water safety skills through supporting local swimming instructors.
Swim missions are 8 days, plus an optional extra 6-day tourist adventure including a motorbike tour, overnight cruise, cooking class and more!
