Mission Travel has partnered with Raptim Humanitarian Travel to offer a global travel solution to one of the worlds’ largest humanitarian organisations, Rotary International.

Lisa Tarzia: “It is a natural progression that Mission Travel has partnered with Raptim Humanitarian Travel. This relationship has grown from our shared belief and values that humanitarian travel transforms lives.  We are now part of a global network and can offer our humanitarian travellers a true global service. This includes a quality 24/7 emergency response service that will be managed by a ‘follow the sun’ approach using the global offices trading hours across the globe. Both Mission Travel and RHT have specialist humanitarian airfares with flexible conditions that also add enormous value to our pool of NGO and not for profit clients”

Raptim Humanitarian Travel is an international, full-service travel management company dedicated to meeting the uncommon travel needs of humanitarian organisations and are specialised in complex itineraries, urgent response, risk management, technology solutions and data management to more than 300,000 humanitarian travelers. Raptim operates from offices in Europe, North America, Africa, and now in partnership with Mission Travel in Australia.

Raptim was birthed in 1947 when they flew missionaries from Amsterdam to Entebbe at a time when only ships were the only means of travelling to developing countries.

Raptim’s Managing Director, Bart Kruijsen said, “In Mission Travel, we have found a partner that is like-minded and who shares our commitment to focus on the travel needs of humanitarian travellers. Together we are able to offer distinctive knowledge of uncommon destinations and serve those who travel with a mission.”

“Several global humanitarian organisations already benefit from the added value of our partnership – and we foresee significant advantages for more humanitarian organizations to work with us on a global scale.  With the unique combination of the global and local expertise of Raptim Humanitarian Travel and Mission Travel, we can not only offer access to globally negotiated airline agreements, but also local support in the different timezones around the world.  I look forward to further build our partnership in the coming period and sharing the benefits of our joined forces with the community around the world in general and in Australia in particular,” said Bart.

As part of the partnership, Mission Travel will be taking on the Rotary International travel account from Monday 27th June 2016.

Rotary International is a global network of volunteers committed to improving lives and bringing positive, lasting change to communities around the world. The direct connection between Raptim, Rotary and Mission Travel, allows the strengths of these organisations to work together and provide more services and support to humanitarians traveling to where they are needed most.

The alliance signals the increasing importance of travel consolidation and management in an ever-changing global environment. Consolidating travel spend and direct sourcing to one approved travel management company standardises corporate travel policies and provides savings by aligning processes and maximizing vendor leverage. It also supports Rotary’s duty of care responsibilities.

Rotary connects 1.5 million members of more than 35,000 Rotary clubs in over 200 countries and geographical areas. Their work improves lives at both the local and international levels, from helping families in need in their own communities to working toward a polio-free world.  Approximately 6,000 Rotary members travel annually.
