Travel to Vietnam and spend time assisting the local swim instructors who are teaching vulnerable children how to swim. Drowning is one of the leading causes of mortality among children over the age of one in Vietnam. Reasons for the increasing number of child deaths from drowning include unsafe environments, limited awareness, inadequate adult supervision and a lack of swimming skills. It is widely reported that the death toll from drowning is higher than the road toll. In partnership with Austswim and Swim Vietnam this trip will provide vulnerable children with basic swimming and water safety skills.

HopeBuilders invites young people who complete Year 12 (or equivalent) this year to join a team to do something meaningful during 'Schoolies Week'. It'll be a game changer for young people as they launch into their adult lives and celebrate the end of a personal era, while at the same time learning how they can be world changers.
