Lisa Tarzia (formerly Scerri) has been involved in the travel industry for over 25 years. Lisa's career has seen her work in retail travel, marketing, airfare negotiation, wholesale operations and public relations. Her greatest passion is building relationships with people and helping others to live out their calling.
Lisa founded Mission Travel in 2006 after travelling to South Africa on a mission trip in 2004. That trip changed her life in every way. She is thrilled that God is using her skills in travel for His service and assisting others live out their God given calling.
Lisa is married to Sergio and they have five children.
Deanne has kayaked around the islands of Thailand, ice skated in London, thrown around in a 4WD on a Dubai Desert Safari, driven the Amalfi Coast, walked the Abbey Road crossing and met Mickey Mouse at Disneyland.
Finishing university with a Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality Management, Deanne won a scholarship to travel to London and worked on the TS Queen Mary in 2008.
She enjoyed working, living and shopping in London. Before she left, she thought a 21 day Contiki around Europe would be a marvelous idea (and it was!).
Deanne later returned home and has had the travel bug ever since. She has travelled for pleasure but also travelled to contribute to the lives of others. In 2012, Deanne went to Cambodia on a mission’s trip as a documentary photographer with an NGO. After this trip, Deanne completed a year of her Masters of International Aid and Development.
She loves combining all of her life skills and using them in a way of helping others seek first the kingdom of God.e.
Audrey Warren has been in the travel industry since 1981, working in a variety of positions with travel organisations and airlines including three years at Melbourne Airport. Audrey had the opportunity to travel from a young age every second year with her family until the age of 17, before joining the travel industry and continuing her travels. Audrey’s experience in travel includes ticketing, retail, corporate, groups, airline check in and frequent flyer services. Audrey started at Mission Travel in 2007 for a year then spent two years with Emirates before returning to Mission Travel in 2010.
Audrey is married with three children, she loves golf and the occasional single malt.
Pauline Cash has been with Mission Travel since January 2008 and has been in the travel industry for more than 30 years in various roles ranging from retail to corporate consulting, management, working for cruise lines, group tour coordination and tour escorting.
She has travelled to 50 countries utilising many different modes of transport from flights, car, coach, rail, ocean and river cruising. Her travels have taken her from dog sledding in Canada’s winter to snorkeling in the Cook Islands, and sleeping under the stars in the Sahara Desert. Having travelled to all but one continent – Antarctica still awaits. Some of Pauline’s favourite destinations are Europe, particularly Italy and France, Morocco, Russia and Japan. Discovering different places, people and experiences, there is always somewhere new on the radar for Pauline.
She is also in search for the best white sand beaches, this has allowed her to enjoy many ‘stop and drop’ beach breaks along the way both at home and abroad. Pauline enjoys the mix of group tour consulting with the added bonus of tailor making additional arrangements for her clients.
Kristine has motorbiked in Italy, lived in Cambodia, filmed in South Africa, canoed in Botswana, cleaned in Zimbabwe, surfed in Dubai, dived off Jeddah, dog-sledded in Greenland, soaked in Iceland, visited Harstad, slept in Stockholm, tramped in New Zealand, rode in Switzerland, hosted in Germany, walked in Prague, watched in Netherlands, strolled in Brussels, cabbed Brunei, jogged in Britain, sampled Scotland, chilled in Copenhagen, shopped Japan, jostled in South Korea, read in Bali, drove in Rockies, sailed in Vietnam, flown USA, danced in Brazil, experienced Paris, photographed India, haggled in China, observed in Thailand, volunteered in Laos, roamed in Russia, explored Egypt, trembled in Vanuatu, marveled in Maldives, immersed in Sri Lanka, transversed Taiwan, bathed in Istanbul, Australia, crossed Grecian seas, incubated in Singapore, connected in Indonesia, and, tackled travel and tourism for 9 years.
But her biggest adventure is with God the Father, Jesus the Son and His Holy Spirit. To awe at His creations, soak in His presence, live out His purpose. To love, to serve, every journey crafted with purpose; His purpose.
New to her role at Mission Travel, Jacquie is passionate about marketing and advertising brands that have a purpose beyond merely business growth. With over 15 years of experience in Marketing, Jacquie has strategically directed her career to working with businesses that make a difference that changes lives end empowers people. With also a background in dance, she’s been a professional choreographer for TV advertising, product launches and special events for popular brands. Always on the lookout for doing things differently, Jacquie’s natural creativity flows through her work.
Jacquie has always loved travel. Egyptian blood flows through her veins and she loves Europe. Her travel highlights include connecting with relatives in Egypt, skiing in Grindelwald, eating gelati in Florence and admiring the architecture of Salzburg and Paris.
As a mother of three and married to Bruce, she enjoys juggling life, keeping fit (even though it does mean sacrificing sleep for 5:50am spin classes!) and eating food.
Maria joined Mission Travel in 2014 and has a background in customer service where she is passionate about providing great customer service and developing long term relationships.
Inspired by the Mission Travel ethos, Maria participated in our 2013 Giving Back program as a volunteer. She jumped at the opportunity to join the team as an Administrator and is excited about working with missions and making a difference in the community.
Keen to explore her Italian heritage Maria has returned to Italy on multiple occasions to immerse herself in the language and culture and indulge her passion for Italian food. Her other interests include reading, nutrition, interior design, singing in the church choir and family and friends.
Chelsea is a lifelong traveller with a passion for exploring new places and cultures and helping encourage people to step out of their comfort zone and fulfil their travel dreams. She has travelled to more than 25 countries across 5 continents, including spending a year living in Edinburgh on university exchange. Her travel pack is adorned with sew-on patches from everywhere she has been and is one of her most treasured possessions!
After completing a short-term mission trip to Kenya in 2011, organised by Mission Travel, she moved to Melbourne to complete a Master of Development Studies spurred on by a passion for finding a way to engage with social justice issues and use her skills in a way which makes a positive difference. Since then, she has worked in a variety of administration, project management and not-for-profit roles. She is excited to be entering the travel industry as part of the Mission Travel team in a role which combines her passions for God, travel and helping people connect with and explore new places in a sustainable and culturally sensitive manner.
In her spare time, Chelsea will often be found exploring Melbourne’s best coffee and brunch spots with family and friends.
Melanie has been in the travel industry for 10 years, and has been part of the Mission Travel team since 2010. She comes from a background of retail travel management and event management, and specialises in leisure and school groups (as well as itineraries that are a little bit tricky!)
Melanie has travelled to over 25 countries including multiple trips to the USA, East Africa and parts of Asia. She has a passion for African travel, and especially loves visiting the island of Zanzibar where she can enjoy the unique fusion of cultures, and the amazing spirit of the locals, all tied in with some pretty spectacular beaches!
One day, Melanie hopes to have the opportunity to volunteer for an extended period in Africa, working within some of the incredible organisations we are connected to at Mission Travel. Until then, she is here to assist with your travel needs, no matter how big or small.
Rosemary, new to Mission Travel, is the quintessential global nomad, having lived in 14 countries, over 5 continents. With a passion for travel, adventure, and people, and a thirst for knowing and understanding different cultures, Rosemary has left a piece of her heart in England, Argentina, Chile, Turkey, United States, Mexico, Singapore, Nepal, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, China and Malaysia.
Adding to Rosemary’s multiple identity crisis is the fact that although she has spent most of her life in Australia, she was born in India to Indian/Scottish/German/Irish/Portuguese ancestry. It is not surprising that as a result of this cultural mix, Rosemary’s biggest passion is writing and to date she has been published in two anthologies – Once Upon An Expat(published June 2016) and Knocked Up Abroad Again (Australian launch May 2017).
Rosemary has worked in a variety of industries including hotels and real estate, education and manufacturing, movies and IT, finance and advertising and is so happy to have finally found her niche with Mission Travel. She has always had a heart for meaningful and purposeful work, serving voluntarily with orphanages in Chile, hospitals in Nepal, teaching English to Kurdish refugee children in Turkey, fundraising with World Vision Malaysia, and assisting with publicity with K9 Friends in Dubai (yes she loves dogs too J). She hopes to be able to bring that same passion and professionalism to her role with Mission Travel, growing, maintaining and nurturing relationships and serving our clients with trust, integrity and excellence.
Recently moving to Melbourne from Mount Gambier, Mitch is currently studying IT and Media and Deakin university. Mitch has a passion in the visual arts, digital media and travel. Mitch has spent a year living in the UK and has traveled to over 10 countries.
